Original Poem Analysis
Contemporary poetry read on its own terms.
These PDFs are for readers who care more about what’s happening in the line than what they’re supposed to take from it.
A Sample Reading | A Spider Web of Things
This is just a small fragment of a close reading and what you can expect when purchasing a Full Poem Analysis. Nothing embellished, nothing overstated. One moment in the poem, held up to the light.
Poem Excerpt
I move a bit, then stall, then start again,
A restless dance with dreams I dare not name.
Analysis Excerpt
These lines capture the emotional rhythm of burnout: sporadic progress followed by inertia. The repetition of “then” mimics that erratic rhythm. The “dreams I dare not name” are perhaps too numerous or too fragile to articulate. The line suggests both abundance and avoidance.
If this feels familiar...
Each PDF follows this rhythm: original poetry, followed by a reading that pays attention. No summaries. Just structure, tone, tension and space to sit with all three.
